My Charlotte Family Yoga journey started 3 years ago in 2015. As a fitness consultant and Certified Personal Trainer, I'm constantly looking for ways to improve my mind and body. I began practicing Yoga at CYFC as a tool to crosstrain and bring a new aspect of training to my workout. I had finally found the missing piece to my style of training. The anchor work needed for a thorough practice reminded me of how I motivated my clients. The breathing and stillness required reminded me of how important attention to detail is. And of course as a trainer the knowledge related to the human anatomy had me intrigued from day one.
In 2017 I reluctantly made the decision to sharpen my knowledge by signing up and completing 200 hour Power Vinyasa teacher training with Diane Cevallos and Hollace Stephenson. In hindsight, it was probably one of the better career decisions I've ever made. I became passionate for the challenge of harmonizing my mind, body. and spirit through breath, movement, and positive self control. My goal and mission as a new yoga instructor is to provide a unique setting where all people can develop, harness, and nurture their natural abilities to promote and obtain a healthy lifestyle.
I am a husband, father, brother, son, friend and student in this test we call life. I use each day to better myself and then others. When not training or on my mat you can find me cheering for the Cleveland Cavaliers (Cleveland born and raised!) or researching my next travel destination.
