A student of yoga for over 17 years, Sandy began teaching the practice in early 2003. Her passion to teach continues to come from a deep desire to serve and share the gift of the practice with as many students as she can. Sandy offers private instruction and weekly yoga classes, a 200-hour Vinyasa Teacher Training, 300-hour Advanced Yoga Studies certification, a Teacher Development Independent Study program, workshops and continuing education offerings for yoga teachers, all recognized by Yoga Alliance.
Sandy has been inspired by many great teachers of various styles of yoga and honors every experience and opportunity that she has had to sit under their teachings. She has spent extensive hours of training with her teacher, Rolf Gates, completing his 200-hour and 500-hour Vinyasa yoga teacher trainings. She is presently pursuing a 500-hour Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist training with Tiffany Cruikshank/Yoga Medicine.
Sandy has found that through sustained practice as a student, her service as a teacher is expanded. She desires to make her classes accessible to as many people as possible, teaching a subtle, yet powerful, Vinyasa flow style. Her classes are infused and sprinkled with the complementary teachings of yin and restorative yoga, as well. Incorporating alignment and anatomy principles, as well as, muscular and organic energetic principles within her teaching allows for success and sustainability within the practice for students.
Outside of teaching yoga, Sandy enjoys traveling, reading, sewing and putting creative and musical talents in action. Most importantly, you will find Sandy dedicated
to her faith walk with Christ, loving on her husband, three active boys and miniature
