Q. My favorite thing about the CFYC community is?
My favorite thing about the CFYC community is always seeing a familiar smiling face. Whether it be at the desk or another student I always fee at home when I walk through the door.
Q. Why do you practice yoga?
I practice yoga because it helps me stay grounded and helps me to relieve stress. Connecting with my breath and allowing my mind to be silent as I move and flow through practice.
Q. Why do you teach yoga?
I teach yoga because I love helping others feel good in their bodies by sharing my knowledge , passion and love to for yoga. My goal is to help each student feel empowered and confident when they leave my class.
Q. How would you describe your teaching style? What can students expect when they come to your class?
In my classes, I hope that every student leaves feeling empowered.I especially love preparing women for labor and delivery through the power of yoga and breathing techniques. My motto is birth without fear.
Q. What is your advice to people who understand the health benefits of yoga, and would like to start a practice or practice more often, but have difficulty finding time?
Sometimes it is hard to make time to practice. My advice is to give yourself at least five minutes per day. Sometimes it's as simple as a cleansing breath after a long day or doing a few stretches before bed or when you wake up in the morning. Your body is the best thing that you can invest in!
Q. What are your hobbies or pursuits in addition to yoga?
In addition to yoga, I enjoy being outdoors hiking and paddle boarding. I also enjoy traveling to new places and spending time with family, friends, and my dog. I am also working on my DONA international birth doula certification.
