Q.My favorite thing about the CFYC community is?

My favorite thing about the CYFC community is the positivity and the relationships within the community. The positive energy here is tangible and marked by love, peace, and acceptance. My soul is grateful for these people and this place

Q. Why do you practice yoga?

I practice yoga for multiple reasons. It began as a way to keep fit and strengthen my body in a new way while focusing  on flexibility. It has grown into so much more than that. Yoga helps keep me grounded in a non stop environment. When I practice yoga, it is time dedicated to me,to reset my mind and my body.

Q. Why do you teach yoga?

After discovering more strength, balance and flexibility through my own yoga practice, I am motivated to share that with others.Yoga  is a wonderful growth opportunity - physically, mentally and spiritually - for everyone

Q. How would you describe your teaching style? What can students expect when they come to your class?

I love Power Yoga and so you can expect me to bring power, grace and enthusiasm into my classes, I will encourage and guide you to go to your edge and beyond – to take the journey within.

Q. What is your advice to people who understand the health benefits of yoga, and would like to start a practice or practice more often, but have difficulty finding time?

There is always time for yoga. Whether it is 15 minutes when you wake up or an hour long class, find a way to work it into your life and you won't regret it. If practicing in a studio is more your thing, commit yourself to a specific class each week and stay committed for a month. After that, it will be difficult to schedule anything else in that time slot as you will have created a new routine.

Q. What are your hobbies or pursuits in addition to yoga?

In addition to teaching yoga, I teach Special Education in an Elementary School. I LOVE my job and can't imagine working anywhere that didn't involve kids.  On the weekends you can find me at the White Water Center, running, or lounging in the backyard with my husband and dogs. I love to read and bake.

Q. What is your favorite quote?

Let us be thankful for the nights that turn into days, for the likes that turn into loves, for the friends that turn into family, and for the dreams that turn into reality.
