Warrior Challenge

Congratulations to all our WARRIORS who completed our 60 Day Summer Warrior Challenge !

One of my favorite books is called The Way Of The Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman.

It’s a pretty simple book, and it’s full of lessons.

Here are some of the lessons :

  1. There are no ordinary moments

  2. A Warrior acts; only a fool reacts.

  3. What do you do if you can’t do what you were born to do?  Everything has a purpose — it’s up to you to find it.

  4. Make every move about the move — that one moment in time.

  5. Don’t fall into the trap — If only I had this, I’d be …  If only … I’d get to be happy.

  6. Doing something for an end result makes it harder to accomplish

  7. You control you.  Master you.

  8. Don’t pin your success on outcomes.

  9. Rushed/ busy mentality prevents us from experiencing the moment

  10. Take out the trash.  Clear you mind of everything you don’t need (doubt, past failures, future victories, … etc.)

  11. Society/ media/ others love to thrust limitations on us, they only become true if we accept them

  12. Knowledge is not the same as wisdom.  Knowledge is knowing — wisdom is doing.

  13. Thoughts don’t reveal anything about you – Thoughts are just thoughts, many of them arise automatically and can very easily be used to either falsely satisfy or beat yourself up. Rather than letting your thoughts run you, simply observe them for what they are, perhaps even take the time to see where they might have come from (what triggered them, what contributed to that view/ opinion.) We might just be surprised by how much of what we think of regularly is really quite useless and unfounded.

  14. Fear creates restlessness and contributes to a lack of peace within your current reality

  15. Everything has a purpose, it’s up to us to find it – Even the most difficult, challenging or emotionally engaging experiences in life have a greater purpose and servitude to our existence. It’s our choice whether we want to look internally and find it or continue to dwell on the outward experience it created.

  16. “What if I can’t do it?” That’s the future, throw it out – All we have and can impact is this moment. Why would we let thoughts about a future moment hold us back from doing something that in this moment we would like to do.

  17. Experience the moment.  Be fully engaged in the moment.

  18. Limiting beliefs.  Don’t become a victim of your own limiting beliefs.  Stay adaptable.

  19. Don’t miss out on what’s going on by letting your mind fill up with noise.

  20. Trash is anything that keeps you from the only thing that matters which is right here and now.

  21. Be right here, right now.

  22. Let go of attachments.

  23. Meditate.  Master the ability to clear you mind and focus on the moment.

  24. Don’t let your emotions control you.

  25. Don’t give up the one thing you control — your response.

  26. Be conscious of your choices.

  27. Be responsible for your actions.

  28. When you feel fear, use this sword.

  29. Don’t take for granted what you can do; don’t be sloppy with your life.

  30. Devote life to a higher purpose: service to others.

  31. It’s the journey, not the destination.

  32. Being a warrior is not about perfection.  Being a warrior is about absolute vulnerability.

  33. Life is about choice.

  34. Actions speak for themselves
