Q. My favorite thing about the CFYC community is?
My favorite thing about our yoga community is our mutual support. We are all in this together and are each trying to do our best for ourselves and our families. I love that in this community we lift each other up while challenging each other to be our best selves.
Q. Why do you practice yoga?
Yoga grounds me, energizes me and quiets my mind. I always leave feeling better than I arrived; more attuned to myself.
Q. Why do you teach yoga?
I enjoy sharing with others how yoga has the power to transform your life in so many ways...not only physically, but mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Yoga is for everyone and I wanted to have the ability to teach others how to make it a personal practice both on and off the mat.
Q. How would you describe your teaching style? What can students expect when they come to your class?
I would describe my teaching style as inspiring and fun. Students can expect a challenging, alignment-based class .
Q. What is your advice to people who understand the health benefits of yoga, and would like to start a practice or practice more often, but have difficulty finding time?
Any yoga is better than no yoga. CFYC offers a variety of classes and times, but if you can't make it to your mat take a few minutes each day to focus on your breath, sit and find some stillness or stretch even if it is just 10 min.
Q. What are your hobbies or pursuits in addition to yoga?
I spend most of my free time chasing around my three little boys. My husband and I are wannabe foodies so are always looking for new restaurants to try. I'm also an avid photographer and spend as much time as I can reading.
Q. What is your favorite quote?
"There is no path to happiness. Happiness is the path". Buddha
