After years of interest in yoga and meditation, including a semester-long course on meditation in college, I began practicing yoga at Charlotte Family Yoga Center in 2014. Like many yogis, my practice waxed and waned over the years, but after a life-altering experience in 2016, I came back to my yoga practice full force and was determined to complete CFYC’s 200-Hour Power Vinyasa Teacher Training. At first my only aim was to deepen my own personal practice and become closer with myself and the universe, but as I learned to teach, I became passionate about bringing yoga to others and helping them recognize their own internal power.
Outside of yoga, I work in Human Resources, which is my other passion in life. I consider myself an enthusiast of experiences – I enjoy exploring the world, trying new things, learning, and challenging myself to greater heights. My hobbies include cooking/baking (and subsequently, eating!), traveling, reading, gardening on my little back patio, attending the myriad cultural experiences offered by local theater and symphony with friends, creating art, hanging out with my rescued coonhound (Norman) and tabby cat (Disco), and keeping up with current events.
